WELCOME!!!

Just wanted to say "WELCOME" to all my new blog readers who were kindly linked to my blog on the BAFL Forum where I didn't link to it on purpose!

Specially for you guys and gals - this is a personal Blog. It does contain my own feelings, own things going on in life and if you don't like it, leave it.

Last time I checked this country has a "Freedom of Speech" policy.

As I don't link to it in any other forums apart from Craft forums and usually just friends/family are reading it, it is a place for me to vent my personal views.

This blog WAS not frequented by members of the BAFA/BAFL until now - and I think it is a very low behaviour from ANYONE to do such a "witch hunt" against me if it is my PERSONAL BLOG and does NOT necessarily reflect other members' views.

SHAME ON YOU!!!! You know who you are!!!

Oh - and I think you BLINKING SHOULD GET A LIFE INSTEAD OF MAKING OTHER PEOPLE'S LIFE A HELL FOR NO GOOD REASON!!!

And thanks for opening my whole life to people who this blog was not really intended for!!! TA MUCHLY!!!

I am NOT going to make my blog pass protected, and I am BLOODY WELL still going to post MY opinions.

Welcome to the BritBowl XXI house... Day 1

Well... Friday usually doesn't count for the FANS of BritBowl, but the helpers start much earlier. :) We left Edinburgh at 2pm, fully packed car with the BAFL Shop stuff we didn't sell at our home games and a poor Allan being slightly cramped on the single back seat. Weather to start with was ok - so no horrendous rain like last year!!! Had a fairly good drive down the A1 but when we arrived before Newcastle we had the annual problem with the bridge crossing!! Don't know why, but arriving at the bridge at 3:30pm just doesn't work. We were stuck for about 15 mins for no apparent reason!! :( And yes, we had the same problem last year. Once we got past the Angel of the North, the traffic was flowing again. There was a car with a nocked bonnet on the other side with a police car around, so I can only assume it's that "human curiosity/morbidity" that made the traffic slow down. Phew!!! Took me longer than I thought!!! :) Maybe I should leave the crafty bits out ... I am a slow scrapper after all (found that out at the Cyber Crop!!). But have to say I LOVE that LO. Used acetate with stazon white opaque (over photo), snowflake eyelets, snowflake button and snowflake vellum sticker. The prompt today suggested we cut a paper snowflake ... well, I had three attempts and am absolutely rubbish at it!! So I decided I try my luck with a quilled snowflake ... first time ever for me to do a snowflake and you can see the wonky result! LOL.

Official!!!

Still struggling with sleep deprivation from Superbowl on Sunday, but hey … maybe I’ll get finally to sleep BEFORE midnight. And since 11am this morning the “little secret” from the Adamsons is now not a secret anymore. WE ARE PREGNANT WITH TWINS!!!!  The IVF run in December was positive (typical, the one we thought won’t do anything and we’ll have to go down to London to get immune issues checked out), and we had our official 12 week scan today. Both Chip and Chap are doing fine, are moving about, have all limbs and noses and chins and heartbeats. And I’m feeling as if a big rock’s been removed from my shoulders … have been reading too many horror stories about twin pregnancies resulting in just one baby born or even losing both. Think with 5 years IVF in the bag we know far too much about the medical background and are more likely to worry about what COULD go wrong instead of “enjoying the pregnancy”.
