It's the 25th

...and I have not taken lots of photos for Shimelle's "Scrap your day". :( Woke up at 9am with a headache, and then went back with ice pack on head for a snooze until 11am.

Then met Helen for lunch and had a very good natter there. Then the usual stacking the dishwasher, putting on another wash, hang up the wash (x 2) and sort socks & undies. Still not 100% ok, but not as bad with the headache anymore, and should be ok for Rob Deb's Q&A session tonight.

Going to my favorite pub in Edinburgh (Jekyll & Hyde) for that, will probably have a cocktail (Sloth of the 7 sins - LOVE it!!) as well. Really can't believe why I am only once a year (or up to 3x a year) in that pub (for Rob's show) ... really LOVE that place. Hidden toilets etc. FAB!!! :D

Was actually planning to do some scrapping today but ... yep, you guessed it ... NADA! So that's on my list for Thursday, or maybe Wednesday evening after work.

Oh... and we got our tickets for the 2 Parades at WDW today .. WHOOOOHOOO!! :) That was QUICK! DH and I are now thinking about our costumes for the "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween" ... any ideas??? ;)

The pub sounds fun, and the hiddentoilets sounds fun unless you're bursting for a wee and can't remember how to get to the loo!

Welcome to the BritBowl XXI house... Day 1

Well... Friday usually doesn't count for the FANS of BritBowl, but the helpers start much earlier. :) We left Edinburgh at 2pm, fully packed car with the BAFL Shop stuff we didn't sell at our home games and a poor Allan being slightly cramped on the single back seat. Weather to start with was ok - so no horrendous rain like last year!!! Had a fairly good drive down the A1 but when we arrived before Newcastle we had the annual problem with the bridge crossing!! Don't know why, but arriving at the bridge at 3:30pm just doesn't work. We were stuck for about 15 mins for no apparent reason!! :( And yes, we had the same problem last year. Once we got past the Angel of the North, the traffic was flowing again. There was a car with a nocked bonnet on the other side with a police car around, so I can only assume it's that "human curiosity/morbidity" that made the traffic slow down. Phew!!! Took me longer than I thought!!! :) Maybe I should leave the crafty bits out ... I am a slow scrapper after all (found that out at the Cyber Crop!!). But have to say I LOVE that LO. Used acetate with stazon white opaque (over photo), snowflake eyelets, snowflake button and snowflake vellum sticker. The prompt today suggested we cut a paper snowflake ... well, I had three attempts and am absolutely rubbish at it!! So I decided I try my luck with a quilled snowflake ... first time ever for me to do a snowflake and you can see the wonky result! LOL.

Still struggling with sleep deprivation from Superbowl on Sunday, but hey … maybe I’ll get finally to sleep BEFORE midnight. And since 11am this morning the “little secret” from the Adamsons is now not a secret anymore. WE ARE PREGNANT WITH TWINS!!!!  The IVF run in December was positive (typical, the one we thought won’t do anything and we’ll have to go down to London to get immune issues checked out), and we had our official 12 week scan today. Both Chip and Chap are doing fine, are moving about, have all limbs and noses and chins and heartbeats. And I’m feeling as if a big rock’s been removed from my shoulders … have been reading too many horror stories about twin pregnancies resulting in just one baby born or even losing both. Think with 5 years IVF in the bag we know far too much about the medical background and are more likely to worry about what COULD go wrong instead of “enjoying the pregnancy”.
